Posting mockups

Nick's mock up of a front page (using a phone or somebody's nearby!)

Try to take pics of your finished mockups as above and post them on their blog, along with a commentary on your cover - consider the following prompts:
  • What codes and conventions have they used?
  • What colour scheme have they used?
  • What can you tell about the target audience of this magazine and how do they try to lure this audience?

When you have finished the mockups of your contents page and double page spread, do the same as above for them.

Students needed for this Thursday! Anyone!

Hi folks, if anyone wants any brownie points we are looking for some student ambassadors to represent A-Level Media at the open evening on Thursday evening. (6-8.30pm)
We are going to have some laptops up in the hall at our stall and we are looking for a couple of students to be available to speak to those considering taking Media Studies next year. They might not have any questions to ask, otherwise we would like students to show off the Photoshop bits we did on Monday - or indeed what you learnt at GCSE - Like if I gave you a load of random images and you just do some demos on removing spots... changing parts of the image black and white .... changing the contrast levels.

If you are up for this (or anything else you might want to show off!) please come and find me asap!!!

Introduction

Well done for getting your blogs set up. Please make sure all your work is posted on your blog - this is going to be your portfolio that will get you your mark, so effort on these is required :-)

Make sure you have Media Knowall as one of the sites you regularly visit on matters of media (so you are not going insane when Wikipedia blacks out for 24 hours...)
